Question from newbie about page submission

    Hi Guys,
I am a newbie and have been following the forum for a while. I am still an amateur, so please be patient with me.
My spouse suggests to submit pages to Google (optimized for Google), but when users click the pages, they will see actual pages (different from what we submitted to Google).
I think this is kinda of cloaking, but from what I read, cloaking is a lot more sophisticated than this.
Anyway, if Google finds out what we submitted are different than the results its spiders find, will we be penalized for it?

Google will send a spider to read pages whether if finds them via crawling the web (3rd party links), following toolbars or manual submissions.

If the content served to Google's spider is different from the content served to human visitors, then you run the risk of being banned just like WhenU and many others.

Why do you feel the need to feed Google something different from what you feed your human guests?
