Problems with one of our websites we are doing SEO on
Hi, I am in the SEO biz and have run into a major road block on one of our clients sites.
A bit of history on the site.
It is in the plastic surgery arena.
It recently had a "re-direct hack" done on it... where the hacker made some sex pages from our url like
www dot subject site / sexyfeet . com
and there were hundreds of them.
We changed all the passwords, FTP, control panel, had the host go through and make sure there was no malicious code still in the site, etc.
There are NO more of those re-direct pages in the google index...
one thing I see in particular that is strange is that Google is using a redirect url to get to it.
Also, the site is ranking #10 for it own name like "mysubjectsite dot com" and it ranks #10 with say a linked page, a press release a blog, etc ahead of the site.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what this might be. I am not sure if I can send PM's yet... Been on this site for years just haven't posted much usually because the answers are already "out there"
Any help would be greatly appreciated and If I can reciprocate in the future I def. will.
THANKS! LB
