Exclamation Please Help!! This Update is madness..

Hi folks,

Since this apparent update, my site (main targetted k/w is 'stress balls') has dropped from 300+ pages to 150, dropped 10 places in the SERPs (when I was expecting a boost) with other less optimized sites beating me.

This must be a problem or does someone else have an explanation?!?

URL in signature.
Any comments/suggestions would be of most help.

Don't panic. It happened to the best of us. There's no real reason for this severe of a drop, so we can assume Google screwed up again.

Hmm its just some kind of data push/refresh at certain data centers, it will all settle down to normal in the first week of Jan 2007 hopefully.

SERPS have been jumping lately, so as PR rollbacks occur too often and are visible at many DC`s which become OK after a few hours or so, or sometimes takes a few days.. .. seems like there are some hiccups taking place, or may be google people are testing some facts?

Thanks for the answers, it seems that some of the newer pages are going straight to supplemental, on this and on another domain that I own...

What is Mr G up to...?!?!

Holiday Filter. Trying to get more people to try adwords for their products for the holidays.

Question

About the holiday filter thing I can well believe it!
After waiting 9 months for my site to come out of the sandbox... my site was nowhere under my targetted keyword. Then I started an adwords campaign, and hey hoy - 3 weeks later my site appeared straight in at #8 world wide for my targetted keyword.

At that point I canned the adwords, and since then, my site has lost approx 2 places every week for my targetted keyword. (That was about 4 weeks ago and now I have lost 50% of my pages from the index down to 137 (from 304!))

I am beginning to think that the conspiracy theorists on this forum may be correct!

Matt Cutts is bluffing on this one. There has been a major shakeup for many many sites.
