Is anyone else seeing PR updates, I am showing PR 4 after been 0 since last update. ( new Site )

When the update happens does it fluctuate for a few days before settling at your final PR?

I dont think there is any need to start a new PR update thread everytime some one notices an update in PR when we already have had a thread started on the same:

Google never gives you a clear picture of your backlinks, so its much more worthy to check from other sources such as Yahoo which gives you a better insight on your backlinks.


Regarding the PR, you can only have that after a PR update and if you have backlinks which are passing on PR to your pages. I am not very sure as to what the exact duration is but PR update generally happens after 3 to 4 months.

So how many links do you find through google's "link:" command? May be Google Webmasters tool will give you a somewhat better report.

Check in siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com and you will notice the difference easily....

Try to convince to your client that check your back links in yahoo not in Google and your client should worry about ranking not back link anyway send excel sheet to your client as a back link report.

Good for you. But if PR updates is not yet over their a possibility that your site might decrease its PR.
