Orphan pages - help or hurt?

I have about 20 pages on my site that are orphans. The only way to access them would be through the on-site search which I'm sure G isn't typing anything into

They are just old product pages for products I no longer sell.

These pages rank well in Y and MSN and so I've left them not knowing what to do. Maybe they make G think my site is larger and more diverse?

Could they be hampering my G rankings?

    Thanks!

Ophran pages don't make any effect on your overall ranking since these pages are not connected to the website. My suggestion: keep them and enjoy your traffic!

I would do a 301 redirect from those pages to pages that actually sell something (hopefully something similar). Otherwise you are just throwing away traffic.
