Noticed that ggole has deindexed link pages

With this update I see that all my pages in my link directory have been dropped from index. The pages are still displaying page rank but if you do a search for the pages no results are found. All other pages havent changed. my serps are still the same. Is this something new that ggole is doing? ie all these pages are in link directory. Has made no difference if they have articles and no links or links. or links and articles.

    are others seeing this?

ps .. its crappy here in asia at momnet earthquake taken out 90% of links to hong kong and southern china. Its been back to dark ages here for days.

Our link pages are still fine, but we disguised them a bit with some content (a 'just in case' done ages ago that just might have paid off).

Agree with SEO_AM, and to make it easier it's a good idea to generate a number of snippets of content or article pages and put around three or four of them on a links page. This will also help a little with internal linking.

    "are others seeing this?"

No...I'm not seeing this but WOW it could be a real damaging trend if it rolls out through all data centers. Imagine how many pages will be de-indexed and the mad scramble it will cause SEO's that focus only on linking and don't have content to support natural linking.

    Very interesting!

Sorry about the earthquake there in Taiwan and the surrounding are too. Went through one that size in 1989 in the Philippines, it was not a good experience.

As far as I am concerned pure "link pages" are a thing of the past. a link from a pure inks page is as valuable as a link from a directory.

Do I still submit to directories? Of course. But they carry very little weight.
