Geez, it seems the subject of this thread has gone astray. Okay, we know that either Webby or Inuendo will win the bet. Someone will get their links. Can we move on to the subject, which would be: NO update before Monday...Now we know what Webby thinks and we know what Inuendo thinks. Sorry, am not trying to be rude (eventhough it might come across that way) but I was wanting to see more action in this thread...

Today is monday - and there has been no update by the way.

Today the freshbot was visiting me too - so I think that the update will not come soon.

Maybe google will don't make a february-dance?

Somehow I think they are anything but bankrupt. They have to be one of the richest companies online by this stage. Certainly one of the most profitable.

Yup - I'm not surprised. The crawl started late AND I think they will want to update their Directory, and perhaps even do more updated based on their updated directory .. I'm guessing it will take a few days!

But Darrin raises a good point. Its been since September that Google updated their directory and now that the RDF dump is ready you'd have thought they wouldnt be seen to be slacking their end by not making use of it. The PR benefits of a Google directory listing wil not be seen until at least the mar/apr update so I'm not sure if the delay is due to calculating the great deal of PR changes involved with this directory update.

This gives me more time to work on clients sites before the deepcrawl but even so. Press the *#?#!*+ button GoogleGuy!
