    Question New site

I had a new site indexed today. It indexed all 300 pages. I have almost no competition and I don't get good rankings. I mean, I am way far from page 1 (page 8 to 12). My site is not banned (by the bayesian something) from the serps because it is in spanish.

My question: Do I have to wait for Google to process my site? 'Cause it hasn't even assigned it pagerank yet.

Or this is how it's gonna stay and I have to keep working on it (I was gonna keep working anyway)?

    Thanks,
    Julian Yanover

if you have good pr links pointing at your site then you will get spidered by freshie more often. The PR may take two major updates to show. whqat the web adress if you don't mind.

    New Site

    Hi Googler,

Well, I'd rather not to say the url.

My question hasn't been answered. My question is: the results that are now being displayed, are final results or do I have to wait for Google to process it (in the Dance and so) to see drastic changes and to get my site in the N1 page???

    Thanks.

    Julian Yanover.

The answer is: with the current information "backlinks+onpage content" of your site, your rank is where it is until such time as
    A. you modify either your backlink situation and or on page content
    B. you gain more competition in your field
    C. You lose competition in your field.

Google is on a rolling update and spiders and re-indexes quite frequently (within days) and thus your position can change rather quickly depending on if Google changes weighting factors in their algo so those above points are not static.

*Special situation: Because its a new site there is no guarantee that your rankings wont improve or decline, new sites usually fluctuate quite a bit from inception. PR helps stabilize this among other things
    cheers

Webmasters who spend their energies upholding the spirit of the basic principles [Of Google] will provide a much better user experience and subsequently enjoy better ranking than those who spend their time looking for loopholes they can exploit. Google.com

    Wink Thanks

Thanks SEO Guy, I can always count with this forum and its members.

I think I just have to wait because, from my experience with other sites, I MUST BE NUMBER 1 (I mean, I desearve it).
I know this are not definitive results because I'm behind sites that are not really relevant, have geocities hosting, etc.
However, I just added my site to a great number of directories, just in case
