"According to the patent, Google might do the following:
Google assigns a maximum value to links that come from affiliated pages.
Google might assign individual values to links from independent pages.
That means that three links from an affiliated website carry more value than a single link but the total value of all links from the affiliated website is limited."
^I had previously believed and been told, that three links from an affiliated website would NOT carry more value than a single link. However this article states the opposite.
I thought that a backlink would only be counted once by Google regardless of how many pages it appeared on from another domain.
So for instance when i have been writing articles i have wrote 10 different articles and submitted them to 10 different directories, believing that i could only get a backlink counted once at each directory.
But according to this i could write 3 unique articles and submit them all to Ezine and this would be more powerful than only having one article linking back from Ezine. But there is cap on how much value i can get back from any one site, so there would be no point in submitting 10,000 unique articles to Ezine because there is only so much backlink value i can get from an affiliated site.
Am I right to say this, or have i picked this up wrong?
So for my 10 unique articles, should I submit ALL 10 articles to all 10 directories.
Or should i write 100 unique articles and have 10 unique articles on 10 different directories?
Hope i havent confused you.
