New Digg like Google results?

A friend was searching earlier and noticed these new bits in the search results.

See here http://joelwalters.com/misc/new-google.png

Kinda like Digg?

I don't know whether this feature is just for personal browsing or whether this is going to effect the ranked sites actual ranking etc.

I pray to god it's not. Because it will be abused to death and the black hat dummies (most of my competition) will be in paradise.

Anybody know anymore about this?
