Need Suggestion HTML or ASP

Dear All,

I have to apply basic search engine optimization on my client’s website which was developed in .ASP (dynamic website). My client managed this website in ASP only to make common top bar, menu bar and bottom bar. I recommended him that there is no need of ASP website according to your business requirement. So, I want to convert your website from ASP to HTML. He asked me OK! You can do it…, but what is the major reason to convert website from ASP to HTML? crawlers get only HTML instead of server side scripting.

Please tell me and list few of negative aspects of having ASP website instead of HTML. So that I can defend myself that HTML is more suitable to get good ranking in SEO.

Regards
M Munir Bhatti

There is no negative effect from using ASP, ASP just pushes out html markup, so there is no difference.

The crawlers make no difference between ASP and HTML. The server side scripting you are talking about is on server side. The server converts the server side elements to html elements. In the browser or crawler there is not difference.

If you have JavaScript or VB scripts then this will make a difference. Bu those are client or browser scripts.
