Need advise for my website
I know nothing about website creation or marketing, I purchased a new website a few months ago expertcreditsolution and paid the top seo on scriptlance to work on it. i paid almost $400 for seo work. webgrader says my site is rated a 73 and in the top 22 percent of all websites.. in june when the seo was working on it i had alot more traffic than i receive now.. for the month of july i received about 195 visits with 87% being for less than 30 seconds..seo guy says it will take a few months to really get going, but of course by that time i dont think i will be able to leave feedback and he wants me to give him a 10 for his work ... i think i have a decent website with good potential but i need to drastically improve my traffic to make some sales.. any advise would be appreciated. thanks

Just from the looks of the site, it appears that the only thing you want someone to do upon arriving is to click on ads. As such, the ads not being relevant to what the site is actually about, you're unlikely to do anything other than entice people to click on the back button.
I have no idea what the seo is doing, so can't really comment on him specifically (and probably wouldn't even if I did). But as far as the shape of the site, the title element on the homepage mentions the word "credit" 5 times. That's a waste of real estate as each additional instance of the word will be ignored as regards relevance.
There's also no content on the page at all, aside from images, captions, and ads. What is your site about? I can't tell from looking at it.
I would start by getting rid of the seo, then cleaning up the site. You need to be able to make money off the site before you start spending money on it.

I would not rely on any automated "grader" or "analysis" of how your SEO is doing. The "brunt" of the campaign is in the back links. It can take some time for the results to come in, so for that reason, you should refuse to leave feedback for the SEO agent at this time. If he is insistent, tell him you will leave sub-satisfactory reviews until you see the results. It's that simple.

I know this is exactly what you meant, but to further expand:
The nearer the keywords are to the 'front' the more weight they carry. Therefore all the unnecessary and pretty much useless uses of the word 'credit' are just pushing the other keywords further and further away from the 'valuable area'.
How would you rate the SEO? I guess not very well - hence you came here?

So be an investor instead of a webmaster venturing in one of the most competitive niches. There is little to gain for someone with no knowledge or skills in online marketing. You have to buy everything and worse, you buy it for yourself. You don't buy the knowledge of someone else to make money, they make money of you to build your pipedream.
There is something to be made online, a large chunk goes to elance SEO's and website factories like http://stores.ebay.com/Scotts-Websites/ that prey on the people that know next to nothing of online dealings, yet want to start an online business. Those "viral" articles you bought along with your website can be found on 700-2000 other websites, something your SEO failed to notice or mention? Such websites can be churned out 4-5 the hour, but they won't press the publish button if they don't get sales.
If SEO are cooks, your niche is filled with hundreds of five star meals. If you came to me and were insistent to go into core online debt consolidation to compete, instead of stroke your ego, I would probably not accept your money because:
- Your current site is a microwave meal
- You expect an impossible 6 star meal
- You pay for a normal 2 star meal
- I can only cook 5 star meal experiences on great days with a great team (from host, to chefs, to waitresses), and a dose of luck and insight and years of preparation.
Sorry if this sounded crude, rude or arrogant. If it's not applicable, just ignore it please, if it is, then please reconsider (your ideas, strategy, level of knowledge).

If you say this like it's a lot of cash for online marketing in your niche then my post is likely applicable. I think you paid less for your website and its content itself. Before you invest in (another) SEO consultant for your webmaster venture, please learn a little about basic SEO and marketing or at least read:
