My Website needs hundreds of 301 redirects every month. Is this true?

So my website had a large number of turn over. Pages are getting created, then deleted at an alarming rate.
My way of combating these 404 errors that keep showing up in my search console is with hundreds of 301s every month. And so the webmasters are getting tired of these request, and it is against their policy to give me access to the website files, so they want proof that these 404 errors are harmful to the SEO of a website.
Am I correct in rrequesting 301 redirects for all of the 404s that appear in my Google Search Console?
    Thank you.

Lets address the problem from a different perspective.

    1. Why are there so many pages being created and deleted.

Addressing this issue will help you with your 301 issue. Get rid of the source of page creation and deletion will possibly eliminate the need for 301's.

If the pages that are now 404. truly have new url's then a 301 is needed. But I suspect there is some information we are missing. Do not take this post as a carte blanc statement on the matter.

Sounds like you're being attacked if pages are being created without your knowledge. If this is the case get that fixed and the problem goes away.

Thanks for your time. I am not being attacked, the website is for a retail business with a high turn over of products.

So you have a website that apparently lists hundreds of new products daily that are sold and replaced with other new products... daily... and you are seeking free advice from a forum? Maybe hire someone to look deeply at your issue and provide professional consultation?

Maybe I am getting paid to do just that, and have never encountered this kind of business. What are you going to do about it?

    2. KernalPanic has since I have joined this forum been "Spot on almost 100% of the time"

edited --- Sorry KernalPanic, no one is 100% spot on all the time.... ( his post did give me a laugh )

Sir I find your statement crude and rude and I for one, will not provide you with any more free advice. You may gleam some advice from questions others ask that I may answer, but I will not address any of your problems hence forth !

Just for the record I would have stated ----

I have been doing SEO for a while and I have never seen this before, anyone got any insight on this ??? Thanks for any help in advance...

As for what I can do...

Oh wow, sorry man, you referred to it as "MY WEBSITE" so I thought you were the business owner. My answer meant to point out that this website is probably making good money with all the product it sells daily, as the site owner the correct answer to the problem probably needs to be researched and tested. Anyway, relax, have a drink, it's almost Christmas
