My site is showing different SERPS when logged into my google account! Please Help

When I search for our #1 key phrase in the office we are consistently showing up around position #7 or so on the first page. However when I searched again from home I noticed we fell to the top of the second page. I couldn't figure out why the results from home would be different from work. Then I realized that at work I am signed into google all the time so I can review adwords/analytics etc. Well I tried signing out of google while at work and running the same search again. Sure enough we were on the second page. I tested quite a few more times at different locations and found that google showed us being ranked much better when I was logged in. I was pretty upset when I discovered this because I was viewing different rankings than what the rest of the world was seeing. Anyone else come across this kind of problem or have any idea why they would do that? Thanks.

1. Each person's account has a customized google SERP page based on their previous interests/clicks.

2. different geographical regions have different SERP pages too

When checking my targeted SERPs I usually log out and clear my cookies but even if you are ranking well that doesn't mean everyone is. As Jill would say from HR SERPs are worthless, track conversion rates and sales.

When you are logged in to a Google Account, Google shows you the sites they think you "prefer" higher in the results. Sucks, doesn't it? It's called Googles Personalized Results.

You either have to log out of Google before you do a ranking search or... you can get "normal" results while still being logged in by adding "&pws=0" to the end of the SERP URL string in your browser.
