My SERPS are back

They went away for 1.5 weeks. The dollars fell, but they are now back.

Any ideas why?

Here ae some ideas:

1) Some of their data got corrupted or/and a bank of mirrored computers holding our backlinks got screwed up. I doubt it.

2) We were penalized. Yah, but why did they come back? We didn't do anything different.

3) Algorithm change. Why would the SERPS come back??

4) When our SERPS are up, we get tons of traffic. Our server goes do frequently (several times a day). Maybe Google thought our site was gone and dropped us from the lineup. Then when the SERRPS disappear, the servers become more stable and the cycle continues.

This is not the first time it happened. It also happened back in the middle of May.

What causes this "dancing"? The results were still good with Yahoo and MSN, but it is hard to make a living depending on those SERPS.

BTW, not all of the SERPS disappeared, just most of them and the ones that really pay off.
