Moving Domain
In a situation where someone is threatening to take my domain due to a trademark infringement.
Whilst Im pretty confident I have the rights to the domain I have to plan just in case.
So we do the 301 redirects for all of the pages to pass the link value to those pages.
But what happens to the all of the links to those pages I mean it would be impossible to get them all changed to the new domain by contacting webmasters.
I would imagine if we moved the site to a new domain and lost control of the original domain we would lose all the links we had pointing to the original name.
New to all of this, so need to know if Im thinking correctly or missing something.
Looking forward to the advice.
Many Thanks
