My website http://absolutely-free-domain-names.com/ moved up over 20 pages in one day for the keywords "absolutely free domain names".


Did google do something special yesterday? This is the biggest jump I've seen on my site yet.

have you been building links to your site at all? or has anyone been linking to your site. Given that your keyword is your domain, even the basic www.absolutely-free-domain-names.com would give you benefit with that specific keyword.

Well I haven't been link building, I was at like page ~18 then my site went to page ~30 for like 2 months because of tons of errors and sitemap issues. I fixed all errors, sitemap issues etc. Still page ~30 for another month.

I have around 10+ one way links to my site.

page 9 number 7, so i think that makes me number 97.

yes I've included &pws=0

10 hits daily is fine with me. I only want people that actually want a domain name... not just generic hits that do nothing. After I get page 1 rank 1 for this I'll start link building for better keywords.

You mentioned that you fixed all the errors, sitemap etc. Google doesn't recognize these changes instantly so that would explain the month gap.

Google take a while to update and I think your error fixes or maybe as basic as the sitemap being submitted could be your fix. Hopefully you will hold steady going forward although it doesn't seem likely the way they are continuing to make changes.
