Meta Description for off page Activity
Hello everyone i am new in this forum and working as seo executive in a company. i want to know that "can we use meta description for our off page submission activity like social bookmarking, directory submission , blog posting etc." or it is part of spamming activity. i am confused on this, i have asked to lots of people but got no clear answer , some suggesting it spamming and some saying it is not.
thanks any suggestion will be appreciated.

Hi Sunichand1234,
I believe there are few situations where copy+paste should be used to promote a site.
What are you bookmarking, the entire site or key content pages? If it is the latter, the description should reflect the content. Don't dupe users
With directory submissions, the description should appeal directly to the kind of people that use directories. However, no-one uses directories. Is this for link building?
Blog posts should be accompanied by an intriguing and compelling description that makes people want to read your post - not something generic because you are too lazy to come up with an additional blurb. If anything, a well-written opening paragraph would serve better.
If you could be clearer with your question, we will be able to help further
Thanks
Rick
