    Mcdar Keyword Tool

.Has anyone got some odd results with the Mcdar keyword tool? I just got some results that a keyword was found for a specific site at #13, but the google datacenters show nothing. I wish mcdar would post the ip of the datacenter its queries are sent to.

    http://www.mcdar.net/KeywordTool/keywordtool.asp

I know he used to frequent SEOCHAT, but I have no idea if he's still around.

Does anyone have a tool that will query all the google datacenters for a search term and return ranking results?

Have not seen him around here for a bit. He posts somewhat regularly on DP. You can post there or send him a PM from DP.

Mcdar's is giving me promising results. I wish it wasn't Mcbroke. I really would like to know where the results are coming from, which datacenter that is. I'll check dp and see if he's smelling the place up over there.

Good to see you're still around seoam

The tools in my sig have a rank check tool that can be used to check the position at all of the known IPs. It's at:

    Hi Guys,

Yes, I do check in every once in a while. I havn't had much time for posting lately, though.

"odd results" is a tough one to trouble shoot. Can you be more specific?

If it is a case of not matching "Googles" results when you do a regular search it could be do to results varying on different datacenters.

Also, the Keyword Analysis Tool searches at a rate of 100 results at a time. This can effect the placement in the results just the same as it would if you selected 100 results per page as your search preferrence in a regular Google search.

If I were to cut the search to 10 you'd be watching that little red head guy for ever! Others get around this by limiting the result to scanning only the first 200 results. The McDar tools will look for your site through the entire results returned by Google.

I did this because my sites were often buried deep and it took forever to look for them on all of the datacenters.

Plus, I did see results Sunday that did not match any of the datacenters which caused me to start snooping around.

Lo and behold I found 6 additional Datacenters that I had not previously known about. That was where my "odd" results were coming from.

I added those to both the Google Datacenter Watch Tool and the Datacenter Quick Check Tool today.

I am currently looking into being able to report the datacenter IP on the keyword tool.

So, please be a little more specific as to the problems you are having and also which tool is the offender. I will see what I can do to accommodate.

    Hello hexed,

I have just launched the new version of the Keyword Analysis Tool
That will now let you select from a pull down list, any datacenter you choose to query with the tool!

Also, you enquired about a tool that will guery all of the Google Datacenters for you site's position for your keyword phrase.

McDar has had the Datacenter Quick Check Tool up and running for quite some time now.

I just updated it yesterday to include the 6 NEW Datacenters that I discovered this past Sunday. (I have also updated the Google Datacenter Watch Tool to search the new datacenters as well)

The Datacenter Quick Check Tool will check ALL of the Datacenters for your site and keywords as well as report (if selected) the number of Backlinks and the PR for any given site. -This feature is especially handy during a Google Backlink/PR Update!

    I hope this all helps.

As always please let me know if there are any problems.

    enjoy!

Hi Mcdar, good to see you're still hanging around

Thanks for the replies and your tools have always been quick and very usable. Thanks for taking the time to provide these tools to us and to update them.

The odd results were due to a datacenter that could not be found in your data center watch tool. It was reporting my serps around #1 and #2, for some keywords, and all the other data centers visible to me were reporting around #12.

Since then, the oddball datacenter we couldn't find now has propogated to alot of the 216.* datacenters. So your tool was working just perfectly, it was just showing results from a hidden datacenter we didn't know about.

    Thanks.

Well thanks to your question, I snooped around and found the 6 additional Datacenters.

I knew there had to be at least one somewhere out there as I too was getting results that were not from any of the existing Datcenters I had searchable.

As I said previously, I have updated all of our tools to include the 6 New Datacenters.
