Making Page URL Plural (Add an "S") Make a Difference for SEO?
Hi all, I'm new here and have a question I'm hoping someone can assist me with.
I have a site for plastic playing cards.
I want "plastic playing cards" to be the keywords that drive traffic to my site.
My current domain/page driving traffic from that keyword group is the following page:
www.mydomain.com/plastic-playing-card-supplies.html
However, I realized that the page itself is not plural and says "playing card" instead of "playing cards".
(This page currently has a page rank of 2.)
1. For SEO purposes, would it be best to change the URL to:
www.mydomain.com/plastic-playing-cards-supplies.html
and then do a 301 redirect in my .htaccess file and remove the old page (to avoid duplicate content)?
2. Does making this plural matter at all in terms of google/SEO?
3. Is this bad because the new page will be new and lose any page rank?
Any advice and assistance is appreciated, thank you.

I wouldn't change the url. Optimize the page title, and content on page for plastic playing cards and supplies.

Try it yourself, do a search for "plastic playing card" and then try for "plastic playing cards".
It's different isn't it?
There is your answer, yes it is different.
Have you checked the traffic for either of those "keywords", if not then check.
Optimise for both keywords!

Don't change your url. Primarily worry about your on-page SEO and relevant content along with your backlink profile. Exact match domain (EMD) names is not what it used to be. Move on and focus on creating a site that people love with content your visitors believe to be best of class.
