Hey guys,

I am trying to understand this problem I am having. I have been working hard building my back links. Now I am on page #1 for most of my keywords but they are in google.com

For google.ca, I am hardly even in the first 50 pages.

Has anyone encountered this problem and how does one go about fixing this?

Usually:
  • Host Not a Dot.CA
  • Host in US (IP not physically located in Canada)
  • Your domain isn't a Dot.CA
  • Lack of links from Canadian hosted domains or Dot.CA domains
Bias in dot.CA archives go to website more aligned with CA focus (which isn't really content based) more towards link & host-based).

A couple of days ago, I posted a few action items on another thread about regional SERPs. The forum won't let me link to that thread, but if you search my posts, you'll find it.

You could always edit a few sentences of content to end in "eh?!". Google may then consider it more relevant to Canadians.

I would also recommend linking your site from your profile on Canadian social networks. I am not to sure what they are because I am from the U.S. but I am sure if you did your research you can find related social media outlets.
