Depends wheter the blog uses the nofollow attribute on links or not.

That depends on the quality and authority of the blog.

So if this a new blog I would say almost certainly not.

This should not discourage you from creating unique and relevant content though, thats what the web is all about! And thats what gets your rankings!

i think that blogging is good, you may wait till your blog gains enough pr and then link to your site. If your blog is not authority one but visited, you can gain some traffic, people will follow links leading from blog to your site. this is what it think.
