I am wanting to do some empirical analysis of on page factors for some of my sites when this google dance is finally over and am trying to find some good tools for this.

these are what i have found so far

1) http://www.keywordcount.com/

2) http://www.keyworddensity.com/

3) http://www.bruceclay.com/web_rank.htm

4) http://www.searchengineworld.com/cgi-bin/kwda.cgi

5) http://www.ranks.nl/tools/spider.html - this looks nice but is limited to pages less than 60K

6) http://www.webjectives.com/keyword.htm - this gives a weighted KW density which seems to be very different compared to other scripts difficult to interpret

7) http://www.northernwebs.com/set/spider_view_da.html - coarse stats

8) http://www.nehuenmultimedia.com.ar/html/kdapilot.html - offline program you buy haven't tried any comments ?

9) http://www.grsoftware.net/search_engines/software/grkda.html - another offline program again any comments.

10) http://www.webmaster-toolkit.com/keyword-analysis-tool.shtml - another coarse analysis densities don't compare well.

Whilst most of these allow me to do comparisons among sites in a relative sense most give different absolute KWD values, some slightly different some greatly different - see some comments above. In this forum and others there are comments about appropriate keyword densities for different SEs but the problem is it is difficult to know whether I am measuring KWD correctly and therefore it is possible that i may adjust density incorrectly if i use the wrong tool or even select the wrong options on the tools.

So what is the best tool to use and what options should I select (eg stop words, url link text etc) to get an estimate of KWD that I can compare with the advice given here for KWD for google in particular but other SEs as well.

Also any comments on the above tools may prove useful for others as well as me.
