Which keyword would produce the best results for my business
My company does business development; everything from webdesign and marketing to research and consulting.
For example from the following 2 keywords (assume I can get the same rank on page 1 for either):
Internet marketing for small business - 8,100 global monthly searches
Marketing in new york - 49,500 global monthly searches
What concerns me is that with the higher searched keyword would a lot of the searches be people looking for marketing jobs in new york rather than to purchase marketing services? So essentially those people would leave the site and hurt my score right?
Any thoughts on this?

You are offering SEO services on your website and bragging about 13 years experience in the field but you don't know how to do kw research?
Sorry if that sounds harsh, tell me if it's unfair and I will keep an open mind.

First i'm just looking for 2nd opinion and second it's not my area. I offer it because my clients demand it but I outsource that type of work...

Well to be honest with you , Sir I don't think if it's really good to ask for Keyword ideas because it's going to effect your business
So I think keywords are really up to you ;) Just don't lie, make your page title and keywords similar to your content. You better focus on quality backlinks and content quality too, don't look for some secrets , etc. Just build costumer trust so you will get feedback for good service which also improves your SEO ranks. I believe
Thank you & Regards.

You should ask professionals but not forum users...
