Question Keyword optimization on multiple pages

Suppose you had 5 keywords you were targeting:

interior design, commercial interior design, house interior design, Atlanta interior design

1 Is it wiser to optimize a page for all 5 keywords at a time or only for one keyword at a time, and to have 5 pages, one page optimized for each keyword?

1a In the scenario that it is wiser to optimize a page for all 5 keywords, do you get a higher searchengine ranking if you have more than one page optimized for the keywords?

1a1 If you have a number of pages with targeted variations of your keywords, say ‘Atlanta custom interior design’, or ‘affordable commercial interior design’; will this combination rank you higher in Google for the targeted keyword ‘interior design’, that is part of the aforementioned composits, than having one perfectly optimized page on the keyword interior design

1b In the scenario that it is wiser to optimize 5 pages, one for each keyword, does google rank you higher if more than one page on your site is optimized for the keyword; in other words, say you had the keyword ‘interior design’, and one of the pages on your site linked from the homepage, is optimized for ‘interior design’. Now let’s assume there’s a second page also perfectly optimized for the keyword ‘interior design’ linked either from the homepage or the initial optimized for ‘interior design’ page; would a website that had just one page optimized for ‘interior design’ rank lower than the second site with multiple pages on the keyword?

    thanks

as all the keywords contain a similar term 'interior design' , you can use all those keywords within the same page and focus on that.

Right, but i still don't know if you rank higher by optimizing more than one page or not.

Also when someone types in Atlanta interior design in Google, for optimization purposes are we considering all words on the page regardless of position as keywords.

In other words if I have:

    Atlanta Interior Design

    Interior design schools in atlanta

find interior design resources in atlanta

does google cont me as having 3 keyword phrases for "Atlanta interior design"?

Put in what appeals to your target audience. If your target audience wants to see all 5 or 10 words, then optimize for that. If they want to see one word, optimize for that.

Forget about googlebot liking or not liking the internal optimization. Focus on off site factors.
