    Keyword density - header&footer

    Hi

I have a doubt about keyword density, does the header and footer of a webpage have any effect on keyword density of that particular page in the eyes of google crawler?

    A loaded question.

Since Google does not use keyword density as a ranking preamp the answer is no... on that point... but the header and footer of a webpage is part of the page where elements are found that Google does use in its algorithm.

The "eyes of google" are the same as the eyes of the people you want to stay on your site. They won't be convinced to stay unless you place the words that will persuade them in the header and top half of the page. Keyword stuff all you want to, but if your word choices make no sense to humans, its a total waste of time. Google doesn't want to rank useless pages.

Keyword Densityhave any effect on Header and Footer are:-

    Header:
Everything has a headline. Pages, posts, newsletters, even emails have headlines or headers known as subject lines. In terms of HTML tags that means H1 through H6 or the various sizes of headers with 1 being the largest. Google bots parse the code version of your content locating keywords while giving value to header tags in their search algorithm. If your keyword is in that header you get an SEO gold star.

Footer: Whether it’s text content or an image, doctoring elements in the footer on a per-page basis may be a little tedious but it is one extra step that can be taken in an all out SEO war. It’s good to note that the effects of this are nominal but nominal doesn’t mean non-existant. Every little bit helps increase your keyword density.

Yes.. It is also called keyword stuffing using the same keyword for a website.. if the words get reapeted the website will be penalized.. So try to avoid using it
