    Keyword Confusion

I work for a website design company, and a site designed by ourselves is called welcome property. When you search for it without a space the site in question is in position number one. But without it doesnt seem to appear at all. Is there a reason for this? If so how can it be rectified? Or is it that other websites have been simply optimised for that keyword phrase? Very confusing as i thought it would at least appear because of its domain.

Welcome Property sounds like Real Estate to me, If that is what is appearing instead, then yes it is that everything else is optimized more than you.

You're in a very competitive market place Terry.

Don't get hung up on featuring top for the website or company name, because not many people will search for it and the two words will be very common throughout the web sites of estate agents et al with a welcome to our web site etc. and property of the week etc.

That won't make any difference - except that links using your domain name as the anchor text will assist your KW ranking. You still need links and - in your market - you're up against stiff competition; it will take time and hard work to compete.

"Welcome to our property website" / "welcome to London Property management" etc etc... sites with these type of phrases will all be competing with your domain name and are probably years (and $1,000's) ahead of you in terms of backlink "propogation".
Selecting a domain name is a very insignificant part of the puzzle... Now you have to do the rest!

    Good luck

    Am I missing something here..

I did a quick search for both " with space " and "without space"...and it does show your site on the third position with space ..
    Can you confirm this
