I've tried everything, why am I ranked so low?

I've been trying to optimize a site for many months now, and I feel like I've tried everything you guys have suggested, but my site is still not even on the charts with the keywords I'm trying to target.

I understand it takes time, but there are site way above me that are the most hideous un-optimized stuff I've ever seen(http://www.wyoming.com/~Tice/).

Do you guys have any explanation?

    http://www.brokerageofthetetons.com
    Keywords: "Jackson Hole Real Estate"

(My backlinks don't seam to be showing up as well, Only a few have appeared, when I know there are about 50 others that should have been indexed by now(4 months old)).

Please help, I'm about to give up on this stuff altogether.

I utilized the Keyword Analysis Tool suggested by other members, and I don't think my ratings are too low?

Just speaking in terms of on page content, if you want to rank for 'jackson hole real estate', I would start by making a text link on the footer of every page containing that text and link it to the home page.

Also, increase the keyword density of that string on the main page. I don't see that exact string other than in the title.

It does appear to be a fairly competitive term using McDar's tool, but nothing not worth going after.

http://www.wyoming.com/~Tice/Wyidmt.htm has a couple links that went no where for me
http://homeownernews.com/9/ChuckTice/ goes to "page not found" then ends up here after a few seconds http://realtytimes.com/marketconditi...promo=RTexpreu

You have a lot of links going out, do you have backlinks from all the sites that you link too?

You have about 3 million keywords in keyword tag(exaggeration, but close) on the index page and they are not in the body of the text on index page.

According to jimstool your keyword density for real estate is 6.72 percent - too high in my opinion

Title seems a little long on index page.

I would add alot more text with your key words in it.

and I didn't see any of your keywords in your links text to other internal pages

    Just my opinions

    couple things to add

    -MORE CONTENT, always more
-get more sites to link to yours, your pr is low
-make sure to create new pages that are linked together within your own site
-use anchor text with your keywords everywhere...dont just have "home" use "Home of Jackson Hole Real Estate"
-optimize your title tag, and meta desc & key

    good luck

Having Jackson Hole Realestate between H1 tags may give it a boost. Also, instead of having images, you could have text for the links (ie Buyers Representation) - All of your words that would be counted need to be readable text - not images. The footer can have your keywords linked to another page which gives a lot of information on your jackson hole realestate business.

I have some pages that do not show for their main keyword even though they have (IMO) good optimization and high PR. Google is being picky with what sites get into certain serps. I've tried everything but sticking my bare *** out the office window to get them into the serps. This is what people are calling a filter. The only thing that I "think" might work is diverse backlinks.
