Is old, Dmoz listed domain still working in Google

I know there was a time when old domain (I mean 8 years or more ) when it is listed in Dmoz considered as 'a gam'. People looking for old domain and trying to get listed in Dmoz. But later I read lot of story about old domain and some are not that motivated. Same time, about DMOZ also seems changing and seems not that 'important'.

Can somebody shad me some light about these two factors together (not individually, I hope) like somebody developed old DMOZ listed domain and had 'some results- good or bad'. Finally, why I am asking..... I have domain which was old and DMOZ listed and was in the same theme form the origin. I am thinking to develop (or sell) and get some use of it from SEO value.

I'm afraid I don't understand your first question!
As for the second one - a dmoz listing is still a useful thing from a "Google point of view" (since they still use the ODP to populate their directory) so - if the site is good it might "add some value" but - in itself - it won't be worth too much imho.

It's a good, old, trust building back link from a great web site - but in the end is just one backlink. You need way more than that to achieve good SERPS for competitive keywords.
