index.html indexed in google

I found that my index.html is indexed in google.
Well my website.com is indexed and also website.com/index.html
This is duplicate content?
Google webmaster tools has not warned me about duplicate..

Yes that is an option, and is often used.

You can also apply the rel=canonical tag so that the primary URL is identified.

That is an option, but usually when you have index.html it means there is a link in your site pointing to it.
Delete the link and the index.html should disappear.
