    Image Naming for Index

I don't know if there is already a thread for this, but I'm sorry, and you may delete this if so.

I was wondering about image naming, and which would be better, or if it made any difference at all.

When naming images, should I name:
    Jack-and-Jill,
    or
    Jack_and_Jill?

Thanks for any advice that you may have.

As with page filenames, hyphens are generally preferable to underscores (Google having traditionally not recognised the underscore as a word seperator), though any difference between the two would be negligible.

Of greater importance when ranking well on image searches is the image alt attribute, and the textual content on the page alongside the image.
