If you had to choose between...
If you had to choose between:
(a) removing the html sitemap from your site, OR (b) changing the urls of most of your pages without 301 redirecting the old urls (which have aged for about 4 months and got a few backlinks) ...which would you choose? I won't bore you with the details, but due to the limitations of my CMS and web developer, I have to choose one of those options. I know you're going to say "get a new CMS / web developer", but that's not an option at the moment. Last edited by Cataclysmic : August 25th, 2007 at 11:53 PM. Reason: typo |

There is no reason that you should not be able to do 301's as these can be done independently of the CMS. The webserver not the CMS can do the 301's, so get them to do 301's in the webserver config to point to the new urls that the CMS creates. And then fire your developer and get a decent one |
