Why do you want to run the same website on .com and .co.uk?
Will you be offering country specific content or products etc on each?

Either way, have a search on the forums (top right where it says "Search Forums") and you will find this topic/question has been covered many times on here

Agreed with above. If it's a universal site/product I would keep the .com or offer a UK extension or sub domain from said domain.

I would have 2 separate sites each hosted in the country of the TLD.

Interesting. Even if they served the same product/service? Just to have the connection with hosting provider/location/TLD and area?

Not that I disagree, perhaps I overlooked it. I see many 'big brand' sites with simply .coms - so that's where I got my logic. Unless you serviced specific UK areas, that would obviously help you greater witha UK website.

Sometimes I take the counter view just to keep the discussion moving Some of it would depend on the geo-target and the product/service being offered
