Obviously you'll lose your ranking if you change your keywords.

    Your question is too broad.
Basically, you have a ton of options:

    1. Incorporate the new phrase into your existing content and maintain the old keyword there as well

    2. Continue to build links using the old keyword as anchor text, as well as the new keyword

    3. Create a new page of content for the new keyword (but make sure it warrants an entire page and that the page actually gives useful information)

I mean, you can target multiple phrases on a single page, it's all about your approach.

Can't you push more than one main keyword on the same page?

Yes - if you have content to support.
It also depends on the competitiveness of the phrase and where you're trying to map it.

as ElectricPrez said you need content support first and apart from that you can target more than one keywords if they have same contextual meaning (viceversa). Infact it is great way to diversify the anchor text.

You don't really want to change your key word...You want to add a key word. Follow what Chiragp and Electric said.

Yes this is exactly what you want. So the only what you have to do is to work on both keywords simultaneously.

If you have two two keyword phrases that share a common word then it can't be that difficult to do
