I take it your asking how to get your site/blog indexed on google?
If so the simple answer is to build some links to your site from pages/sites which google often crawls. For example you could submit a post to tumblr as you suggested.
Once that is done for a quick fix to get google to find your site you will want to start building quality links from authoritative sites in your niche or that are relevant etc.
You can read more about SEO from the links in my sig as well as the sticky threads on here and posts by members with good ratings (the numbers and green bar to the right of each post).
Lastly, I moved your thread here because it has nothing to do with pagerank, so you wouldn't have got any replies where you posted it.
Think and look before posting because putting your post in the right section (and giving it a real title) will get you better replies faster
