Hubs of Influence
Either I made it up or I heard it at a conference but for some reason I am of the impression that Google recognizes websites that have very focused content (e.g. car insurance, knitting, boats, etc) and have achieved certain criteria (e.g. lots of inbound links, etc) as "hubs of influence." And as such there is a halo-like-effect relevancy boost to all pages within that site.
Did I completely hallucinate that? |
