Smile Htaccess mod-rewrite
Greetings,

This will be my first post on seo forums so please take it easy on me

Anyway, my question is this. If all my pages were written in .php extension and I used a rewrite in htaccess to change all the extensions into .html, would that hurt my ranking? or is it better to stay with natural html files?

the language you use does not affect your rankings. theres no reason to rewrite everything to html files.

If you setup a page I would recommend to you to take .html (don't ask me why) but if you have a site already don't worry leave it as it is and focus on other optimisation things.
