How To Determine A "Google Dance"

Some people still seem unclear as to EXACTLY when Google can be said to be dancing!! Thats ok, it's not that easy for newcomers, but let me explain a basic way to determine if the dance is on or not.

1. Go to www.google-dance.com
2. Enter this as the Search: link:www.yahoo.com
3. Set the "Mode" (in the advanced features) to "Standard"
4. Click the search button..

You will see a few new windows (depending on other settings). Each of those pages will have the blue bar that says "Results 1 - 10 of about 632,000" (although the number of results will vary from month to month).

But if the larger number shown above (the 632,000) is varies in any one of the window panes, then the likelyhood is that the the dance is on.

Changes of the actualy results in themselves does not really indicate a dance!!

well, in that case having a time date stamp on a page like the one i have at www.opmtradingpost.com gives you a date that they crawled and also gives you a reference to when they updated the index (the date on the page in google's cache changes) i guess it's one of the many ways to see a google-dance
