Why is google giving different search results?
Hello
When I check our ranking with google.co.uk we have been moving around 7 - 10 for the past few weeks. Some months ago we got hit my one of the google updates, and now several months later we are approaching where we were before the google update.
I rely on google.co.uk to regularly check our position, but someone recently suggested I use Page Wash and check our position using it.
I did this several times today and according to the search results we are at number 3 on google.co.uk. The search term is "bookbinding" and we are edenworkshops.com.
Which results should I trust?
Thanks
Richard
Edit: Just checked again and we are number 5 when viewed with pagewash, jumping around a bit.

Pagewash will strip the results of much personalized info. You are #3 for Bookbinding when I search Google.co.uk from the US

I see it in position 3 as well using both Pagewash and direct Google.co.uk

Another easy option is to add &pws=0 in your query string. This way you can check on whatever google property you like. For instance:
http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=bookbinding&pws=0&oq=bookbinding&fp=7bfa9724b 62c6ecc
You can also change hl=en and gl=en to try different language and location searches.
