How Subdomins Can Help me ?

i have a site which is going to be a directory soon .......
Its about New Delhi ....

I want it to get Optimized it with "tourist attraction delhi"

As my domin name is "newdelhiguide.net" , i want to create a subdomin as "tourist-attraction.newdelhiguide.net" , and will put all pages related to tourist attraction in that domain.

Now my question is that : Will subdomian get same importance as main domian ? Will Subdomian get Page Rank if main Domin has not Pagerank ?
Ofcourse i will do backlinking for it ..........

EReilly agrees: Yeah. Subdomains will have their own PR, and be quite separate from each other.

Subdomain will probably not carry the same weight as the domain name or even the file name. newdelhiguide.net/tourist-attractions.html might be better than tourist-attractions.newdelhiguide.net.

Still the subdomain might be a good idea.
