3 months is not a long time.

Ranking well for competetive keywords is a difficult and time consuming process. It doesn't happen over night.

Ranking for less competetive terms that are relevant can happen quite quickly and is a good way for a new site to start generating some traffic.

Getting your keywords right is paramount to your success in the search engines.
Target a keyword that is too competetive and you wont get any rankings and thus no traffic, target a keyword that is too uncompetetive and you will rank well but no one is searching for that term! Getting right is a careful balance!

Hi Chris,

As tstolber has indicated, you would be best to target some appropriate Niche Keywords that relate to your site. A niche keyword is one that gets a decent amount of traffic but there is less or little competition for.

Starting with such terms is a good idea as they are much easier to get rankings for and if done right you wont just get ranked on Google. Sure Yahoo and MSN do not provide anywhere near the traffic Google does but when starting out every hit helps in my opinion. I have also regularly seen Yahoo or MSN out perform Ad-Words for the amount hits delivered.

As time goes by and your site becomes more established you can then start to focus on more competitive terms.

Regards,
Mark.

Exclamation for 3 months "coming soon" ?

"pets-planet - coming soon"
No wonder you have no traffic. Build a good website first, then ask for other webmasters to link you.

Write something that is educational, funny, informative, and really understandable.
Then submit it to digg, reddit, stumbleupon you get the attract traffic.. There is to email notification by feed let them know for new product or services feedburner is very good.

You should spend your time to write article Always focus on writing quality content not just increasing pages on the website. To be fruitful results, your content must be really good.

When you submitted in social book marking website if our content is good obviously you get attract to visitors, there should be an option like feed, rating subscription, book marking, add comment, and print this page option in your website.

for your site i'd primarily focus on good content, keywords, niche phrases, and creating 'synergy' between all, before thinking of link building and socail book marking.

I'd focus on getting really good competive keywords and phrases that people are searching for.

If you only offer services in a specific region, or your services are a bit different you have a 'niche' meaning keywords are less competive and if you use them right your site will generate aload of leads.

Use one of the many keyword tools on offer.

Once you've found the best keywords to use, optimise each page, so you offer as many 'entry pionts' to your site as possible.

Focus on updating your site and monitoring how successful your keywords arecontinually and you should see results.

Thanks Joe
