    How To Remove Url's


    I'll change some url's of my site according to my keywords but after that Google search console displaying 404 errors for previous URl . How to remove those 404 errors or remove those url? Can i use robots.txt for that?

    Those removed URls will appear in the Search console unless you redirect them to the newly created URLs. So you need to do 301 redirect all those removed URLs to the appropriate newly created URLs.

    robot.txt won't solve your problem. The 404 errors will still show up. Use 301 redirects

    Change the response from the URLs you want removed from 404 (not found) to 410 (gone), it won't be instantaneous but those URLs will be dropped by SEs in the medium long term.

    Hi Alex and Welcome to the forum. Just a couple things:

    First of all the URL removal that you describe is only temporary, I do not think this answer the OP question perfectly.
