How on earth is this possible?

I opened my original forum based site (www.thesackshack.com) a good 3 weeks before my blog (www.ncaafootballtalk.com).

The forum has a TON more posts, articles, etc.

Yet somehow my blog (which has only been open a week, and Ive only published around 10 stories) has 10 indexed pages on Google, yet my forum site has 2 - the main page and somehow a members profile.

How is this?

Do you have sitemaps submitted for the lesser-indexed site? Also, do you have backlinks to both?

I've also noticed my blogs get indexed much faster than my new webpages on other sites.

yep. sitemaps for both. i have links to the forums in the "about" section and on the front page of the blog.

As for the forums, I only have a image link to the blogs.

Not making sense to me :/

If you can remove the session "s=" from the urls it might help, and a mod rewrite like this forum has may help also but I've read several times forums have been devalued and blogs get a little boost.

One forum in particular, an automotive forum, used to always show in the results a few years ago but now only rarely does it show in the search results with lower placement. It is a very large VB site with decent seo IMO.

You need to work on linkbuilding.

Yeah, link-building for my niche is a challenge and a half :/

The only sites to really link from already have a forum.

I was told (earlier post on here I think) to avoid sites such as 'linkmarket' and 'linkexchange'.

I have contacted a few football blogs to talk to them but if that doesn't work then I am SOL.

The only quality link option I have right upfront is purchasing a link ad space on ESPN.com's college football section, as well as CNNSI.com's.

Your forum doesn't have keyword rich static URLs and lacks quality backlinks. Try to build TR of your forum.Blogs are crawled and indexed faster by google.
