Unhappy How to make Google to show images in the snippets of the mobile results

    Hi.

I see how my competitors are managing to show images in the snippets of the Google mobile search results.

However, I do not know how to do it. I've been browsing
    https://developers.google.com/custom.../docs/snippets
but no mention of the images in the snippets of mobile results.

Any suggestion? Thank you very much.

Google is now showing image thumbnails in the mobile search results for select queries. The queries seem to be product-based queries where the user might find an image of the product useful. Google was actually testing this back in August 2016 and also earlier in December 2014, and it now seems to be showing for all mobile searchers.
I know that there is a thumbnail meta tag: <meta name="thumbnail" content="http://example/foo.jpg" /> --but I doubt this populates it. As we discuss with lots my SEO friends I found that Google will do this automatically.

I think this is a big question for various online Amazon & eBay shop owners, just try to populate your most targeted keyword in the very first part of the Title match. This also goes with alt-tags of all product images in online shops.

This effect can also be achieved through the use of SCHEMA.

Simply add a photo schema to your post and it should show an image on Google over time.
