How long do they do the crawl?

How long do they spend doing the crawl in the middle of the month? I'm asking because two days ago my server was hacked and used to do a DOS attack on a Govenment server, so the web host had to do a server restore, (restoring the server to the way it was when I got it), which means all 25 domains were deleted, so I've been uploading the content and am woundering if Google might of looked at one of my domains while there was nothing there, and might plan to delete all the links. Will they try a second time a few days later if they view a domain that's dead?

My first reaction when I found out that everything had to be deleted was 'Oh no, I sure hope Google doesn't do anything during the next few days. '

I'm sure if you were only down for a while then you should be ok, but a few days... it's possible they will remove the site from the index this time round if they hit you more than once and they got 404 errors at multiple URL's.

Your site was hacked and used to do DOS attacks on the government?! Sounds like a conspiracy to me Found out who dunnit?

I have no idea who did it. My server and a few other ones were used to do the attack. The attack was on the Indiana State Dept of Education web site. They called me!!! I then sent a support ticket to the company that hosts the server. Here's the two replies that I got.

***

Your server has apparently been compromised. There is an eggdrop bot running on your server which is connected to an outside irc network. This ticket is being sent to the datacenter for further investigation.

server compromised with alien rootkit. server unplugged. server will require restore to be allowed back online. awaiting authorization to restore server.

***

Now I know why they don't allow us to run IRC bots!!!!! I started puting domains back up about six hours after the server was unpluged. This was Tuesday and I'm still uploading the pages, should be finished tomorrow.

good luck on getting them all uploaded in time for google to crawl them, or perhaps they had already been crawled and you have nothing to worry about, in either case good luck to you!
