High quality, established, authority, open websites.
Helloes,
I was wondering if anyone knew any websites which were similar to Blogcritics.org and Technorati? These two websites accept guest posts for high quality content but I'm not familiar with any others of this nature. Google seems to like it when you have backlinks from them.

I don't have any lists of generic sites for guest posting, but you could give myblogguest.com a try because IMO guest posting on blogs in your niche is much better (if they are quality blogs ofc) because your links will be from a more relevant source rather then just a generic blog about anything and everything.
I'm not saying you shouldn't post on such sites, but you should also be trying to get relevant links which will help with showing google your site if of value for your niche and also - hopefully - bring you more targeted traffic.

Thanks for the advice, guys.
On a previous recommendation of yours, NathanielB, I did sign up for that website and it scored me a few more niche backlinks.
I've had a lot of success is getting a lot of these types of links over the past few months and now have some evidence to suggest that we need to balance things out with some high authority (according to OSE authority) links.
If anyone thinks of any sites similar to the above, please feel free to post them!

I'm sure you can find better links then those you can build on articles sites/blogs, which will hold more value/authority then a link on such a huge blog which will just become lost in the masses after a while.
Try your luck in this thread http://forums.seochat.com/link-popul...es-450572.html I quite often link to it because if you read the right posts you will work out some great ways to earn - earn being the main word here because the links that are harder to earn are mostly always the best links to have - quality/authoritative links which should last longer and give you a much better out come then the links you are asking for currently.
Again, don't get me wrong submitting blog posts to authoritative sites is one good way of gaining ok links, but if your specifically after generic links for some authority to balance out your link profile you should find some better ways of earning them from that thread

I am very familiar with that thread, it was well worth the sticky!
I'm going to try and add some of these links as I get a gut feel that they'll compliment our current profile and make Google happy. I'll post up here and let you guys know how that goes.
