Help - What happened to my latest page listing on google??

    Hi
I have been visiting this forum for a little while now and I am finding all the information here quite an eye opener. I am an absolute leaner of the ropes here! I have developed a small site to sell my own products and so far I have been going ok as far as getting myself listed on google and yahoo. (well I think so anyway )
I now have a problem I need help with. Ever since Monday I have noticed that my site is appearing as an old cached version, from about 2 months ago, on both yahoo and google. Why is this, and how do I change it? Will it be changed when google does a deepcrawl this weekend? I am now worried as my traffic has been affected and I would like to get my current page listed again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Michelle,

Welcome to the forums! At the moment, Google should be showing the version of your page as it was around mid-January. This was when it deep-crawled all webpages for the index that is being used at the moment. The next update (today or tomorrow at the latest), will show pages as they were when the deep-crawl happened early to mid-February.

A good summary of this entire process can be read in this thread ...

    Not necessarily!

Google's cache of a page can update after a freshbot visit, this happens frequently on some of our sites.

One has been showing a cached page from 17 Feb for over a week and another has been showing a cached version of a page we updated a few days ago since the day after it was updated.

True, of course, which is why I pointed her towards the thread about Freshbot, etc.

Although at this very moment there are few freshed pages - even the CNN page at the moment is from March 3rd.

Thank you! I hope my new listing will come up soon! I have to say, this is a great forum, and I am learning many new things, but I am a little baffled by PR. How do I find out what PR my site is? I see you all talk ing about it all the time. I may have just asked the sillest question in the forum, but I really do not know what it is.ops:

You probably know this, but since no one mentioned it, possibly your own computer is delivering your page from your own cache. Just to be sure, refresh + shift will bypass your cache and load from the site.
