    Help with No Title Problem

I have a domain that has ranked well for many years (in internet time), and now google is showing only the url, but no title and description. It is the first result here:
    http://www.google.com/search?num=100...es&btnG=Search
Does anyone know what I can do to remedy this problem?

My guess: the www version is being seen as a dup of the non-www version of the page. the non-www version has PR5 and the www has n/a PR. the www version is what is showing up in the SERPs. might want to consolidate those two with a 301.

have you run your page through an html validator? looks like you're using Dreamweaver and ended up with duplicate tag:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">Also, you're missing the meta description tag! Definitely add that in there.

    validate html here: http://validator.w3.org/
    validate stylesheet here: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

If everything checks out, it may just be a temporary thing.

Well - don't go with the "description" meta tag unless you're prepared to make it different for each of your pages (since we seem to have moved into the "dup" area ;) )

Also - I'd keep the <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> tag. No harm in having that: it shows your browser which character set to use and I'm sure most search engines expect it to be present on all well-coded html pages...

Validation is always a good idea - thanks Ultraseeker

Other than that I'd look into Donna's suggestion of 301-redirecting the non-www version of your domain to the www version. Often it can easily be done using an .htaccess file.

Yep. The most common problem of URLO (URL Only) that I have seen is duplicate content. Donna seems to have nailed it on the head as to the cause.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I will start with the redirect, and then move on to the validation.

100% works every time. 0% causes issues almost every time. Everything in between is a matter of risk tolerance. 90% unique, pretty safe. 80%, less safe and so on. There are no absolute guidelines, but if you are having problems, you've probably pushed too far.
