    Having meta keywords hurts SEO?

My rankings jump like crazy I am not sure why maybe because if forum signatures or maybe because I have meta tag keywords? Do you think I should remove it? And by heaving it does it hurt SEO?

    No.

But if your meta tags look spammy AND you're doing other sneaky stuff, they might look deeper.

The thing with the "keywords" meta tag is: the time you spend on that is better spent on something else.

Meta tags are relevant. Unless you're stuffing keywords in them, then that's the bad part.

Actually meta keywords don't affect your rankings. Forum signatures: depending how you do that?! Keyword stuffing can hurt your SEO.

Same question(s) to you then... Which meta tags are "relevant", and what are they relevant to?

If you're going to add a post just to say "meta tags are relevant" please explain how you came to that conclusion

The meta keywords has no effect on search results and seo of a website. It better not to put them but if kept try to limit it and only put keyword that are in your article description.

I think it something else that cause the increase in ranking. Test by trying once removing the meta keywords.

No... Relevant means "closely connected or appropriate to the matter in hand" (Google dictionary)!

You said: "Meta tags are relevant." which doesn't make sense.

So I'm asking what you mean by that... (Because they will not affect your Google rankings at all, so how are they relevant? What are they relevant to?)
