Type "Weapons of Mass Destruction" in Googles search box and click I'm feeling lucky button.

    Google Bombing

It isn't that google has a sense of humor. It happen beause enough people got together and used the term "Weapons of mass destruction" as anchor text and linked to it. Some people refer to it as "google bombing"

    It was also done with

French military victories - this is my favorite
    Miserable Failure

And yes this news is a year old!

relax, it's incredible that you remember a 9 months old post!

    OK, here's another one.

    Found this post somewhere-
I searched Google for 543-M task chair and got a couple of pages of results.

It asked "Did you mean 543-ME task chair ?"
Clicking on it returns 0 results. I almost expected "ha ha, we fooled you!"
Now if you search for 543-M task chair, Google will still ask you- "did you mean 543-ME task chair?"

And if you click it, guess what?

It returns the same post quoted above!

Some kind of vicious circle going on here!

Or Google has evolved! (has got some result to show for 'did you mean...?"

P.S.-Check it out before the SERPs change!

not exactly clear on your post.
but i did a search earlier today...
and google says "did you mean blah blah blah."
    and i clicked on it....
and there were 0 results for 'blah blah blah'.
    which is a little senseless.

    is that what you mean?

    OK, I'll try again-

The post I quoted is about someone searching with a keyword (543-M taskchair) and Google asking -did you mean 543-ME task chair? On clicking, it returned the guy 0 results.

Now if you search for the same phrase as this guy did, Google will still ask- did you mean 543-ME task chair? But now if you click it, you no longer get 0 results (as this guy did). Google returns you the page where the same post (the one I quoted) is posted.

May be I still couldn't explain. Or may be you don't find it funny. I did.

You can try searching for the phrase to see what I mean.

By the way, you new avtar will really help a lot of folks (like me ) who tend to be carried away with your sarcasm. The avtar portrays you as much less cynical than sometimes you sound to be.

And I know you'll change it soon.

Actually, if you look at the rest of the SERPS when you type in Weapons of Mass Destruction or Miserable Failure, you can see that some would be moneymakers have spammed their sites with those keywords, and got links using the exact keywords!
